About Venomocean
Venomocean is an electronic music group alias fronted by Vocalist Barbara Babilonia. Based in Los Angeles, California and established in 1994 by Producer AutoTech, they have since released 1 EP and 2 full length albums. Our music falls under the Electronic and Synthpop genre, with a hint of New Wave. The songs are driven by a darker tone from the heart. Our sound is a blend of intriguing, smooth vocals accented with emotional piano pieces. Electronic instruments complete the ensemble of distance, solitude, and emotion within the music. Often compared to bands like Depeche Mode with female vocals, Eurythmics with a smoother melodic touch, M83, Venus Hum, Mono or Hooverphonic. Venomocean songs focus on the darker moments of life. The lyrics and arrangements express the emotions that are felt in solitude. The music was intended for the listener to understand that they are not alone in darkness. Our music communicates discovery and acceptance, which for some, could be the story of their lives. Our goal is to connect with people who truly relate to our music. The main focus of our movement is to give our fans more of what we love to do. That is, to tell a story of life, love, and loss through our undeniable love for making music.
