About Vectorial
Vectorial is an instrumental rock band formed in Santiago de Chile in 2019. Led by Cristopher Rivera on bass/guitar/piano and Manu Azócar on drums and effects. The band's style is influenced by ambient and post-rock, as well as classical music, with traces of minimalism. The Vectorial sound is characterized by the use of distorted and melodic guitars and traditional sound pianos. Vectorial was born as a parallel project to the band Ápiced between bassist Cristopher Rivera and drummer Manu Azócar. The name of the group originates from both musicians' taste for mathematics, physics, and space. History After planning the new band's style, Cristopher composed a set of 5 songs on guitar and began to include the rest of the instruments. The first song was "Conquista," which allowed them to merge their influences of Rock, post-rock, ambient, classical music, and film music. In December 2019, they recorded their first single Conquista, mixed in Insular Studies and Mastered by the outstanding engineer Barry Sage in Santiago de Chile. In May 2020, Conquista was included in the best post-rock compositions in South America by the instrumental music channel/shoegaze/post-rock WherePostRockDwells. In the same month, they released a single titled Oscuridad. In June of the same year, the third single Aire (and second promotional) before their first EP, which features Kristol Cleaton in Corno and the engineer Jannes Van Rossom from Dunk ! Studios (Zottegem, Belgium).
