About Undercast

Undercast are a pop punk band based in Sydney, Australia. Founded in late 2013, the band released the debut single ‘Christopher Walken Fan Club’, the first single off the ‘Welcome Home’ EP, in January 2014. Slowly building a fanbase with constant local shows and a strong online presence, Undercast are one of Sydney's newest and most exciting bands. With national radio airplay from Triple J (105.7FM) as well as local airplay on FBI (94.5FM), Undercast have been lucky enough to support fellow Aussie bands Trophy Eyes (Hopeless Records) and Bodyjar (UNFD) as well as Forever Came Calling (USA) in the lead up to their debut EP; the 5-track release 'Welcome Home' (featuring new single 'Greenway') will be available at all digital outlets from September 8th. Undercast are also slated to announce a national tour in support of the 'Welcome Home' EP in the coming weeks. "(Undercast are).....pop punk with an emo-inspired edge" - AbsolutePunk '"CWFC) shows a heavy influence from pop punk mainstays The Story So Far and Man Overboard" - Kill Your Stereo " a young band, brimming with energy and angst.... Undercast have put out possibly one of the catchiest songs you’ll hear this year" - Sludge Factory Media 2.Alternative Metal band from Philadelphia. Undercast introduced themselves into the Philadelphia rock/alternative scene in late 2005 with their "Self Titled" EP which blended a mix of hard rock ryhthms and intricate melodic tones. The band immediately jumped into scene, sharing the stage with the well know local bands and touring national acts. The band released their second EP "Severed, Vol.", in 2007, which was recorded at Slugfest Records in Spring City, PA, produced by the band and the talents of Joe Mattis (Island Records) and engineered by Kevin Wesley Williams, and mastered by U.E. Nastasi at Sterling Sound (Panic at The Disco, Killswitch Engage). The track title "ILL Divinity" was featured on Philadelphia powerhouse rock stations' local compilation cd, "Jaxon's Local Shots". The band is currently working on new material with a new taste to it along with a release and 2010 tour. "...Undercast is seriously the most talented and most intoxicating rock band that I've come across from Philly...","You'll relate to the music itself. It has a magnetic quality that draws you to it. It latches onto whatever's on your mind, and leaves you in an almost euphoric state, where nothing else matters but the music." -Jennifer Mattern Editor of audioxposure.com From Origivation Magazine's June 2005 EP review on Undercast by: Kevin Keating "Undercast features strong guitar work, well constructed songs, and a really well-defined blend of melody and angst. Throughout the EP, they delivered enough suprises to keep me from branding them just another hard rock band." 2. Pop Punk band from Sydney, Australia.
