Ultio are a five piece metal band based in Birmingham. Originally known as 'Kopius', they formed in 2001. In the years since forming, Ultio have undergone many lineup changes and experimented with several different styles of music. Renamed Ultio in 2007 with a solid lineup of Matt Walton (Vocals), Dan Benton (Guitar), Keg (Guitar), Matt Smith (Bass Guitar) and Robert Gill (Drums). Musical style includes a dark seven string base sound and tight groove based melodies with overall musical style focusing on having each track sound individual and keeping the underlying groove present.
