About Ugly Mus-tard

Formed in 1993 Ugly Mus-tard soon became widely known in Texas for their high energy theatrical stage performances. No two shows ever used the same theme. Their fanbase quickly grew. In 1995 they signed to Indie Real Records and released their first epynomous album in 1995. The album's single, "High", garnered major airplay in the U.S. and Europe. The Video for "High" was also in rotation on Euro MTV for several months. The band performed several shows around the U.S and toured Europe in 1996. The band left Real records in '96 and formed their own label, Fat Maggot Records. Mus-tard's 2nd eponymous CD was released on Fat Maggot in 1997. The band supported that record for a year and then went on an indefinite Sabbatical. In the downtime, Bassist M.Daane and Filmmaker Michael Marco went to work on putting together a documentary of the Mus-tard's live performances. In September of 2000, the band reunited one last time for the release of "Solipsism", a 90 minute movie which documented the band's live perfomances from 1993 to 1998. A complimentary CD called "Solipsisms" was also released which included many rare and unreleased tracks used in the movie. Ugly Mus-tard is survived by it's rabid fan base.
