UP-BEAT was a Japanese rock band. Formed in 1981, made a major debut in 1986 and disbanded in 1995. The band is influential on the development of Visual Kei, cited as influence by some prominent musicians such as Hakuei (Penicillin), Ao Sakurai (cali≠gari), Ryo & Den (BY-SEXUAL / ZIGZO).
