Experimental Industrial Deep Down-Tempo Dark Ambient Electro Dreamscapes; Drones, Loops, Sluggish seething death throes of a monster stuck in molasses rhythm; An all-encompassing feast for the senses; caustic atmospheres build from pure frequency to delve headlong into hitherto unexplored realms of horror and delight. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- December 2007 saw ‘Twisted Subterranean Death Trap’ performing a live soundtrack to ‘Dr. Mabuse - Der Spieler’ at Mercury Cinema, Adelaide. A collaboration with ‘Spiney Fleshpot’. Patrick hails from industrial electro performance ensemble 'Dweller on the Threshold' - a Sydney based psychotronic dreamscape project with Helene Hex Henbane, & involving percussionist - Glen Maltby (Beastianity) and previously, John Murphy (KnifeLadder, Death in June, SPK, NWW, Whirlyworld, etc.). 'Dweller on the Threshold' performed over many years in the Sydney Underground noise scene, recording two independent CDs through ‘Can A Worms’ record label, and collaborating with many and varied Performance Artists including 'De Ja Vudoo', 'Mia Mortal' and the legendary 'Butchered Babies' in their various extravaganza’s as well as the crème of Sydney’s underground experimental noise scene. Before 'Dweller on the Threshold', Patrick, with Helene and John Murphy formed 'Jaundiced Eye', a very intense industrial noise/art act that performed alongside many influential noise art bands and performance artists including The Mu Mesons and Tony Buck of the Necks. Patrick was a founding member of glam art rock band 'Box the Jesuit', playing guitar, keyboards and saxophone through the late 80’s and into the mid 90’s, after originally joining the band as trumpet player when they were ‘Madroom’ – a seminal art rock outfit incorporating unconventional instrumentation such as shopping trolley, toy piano, cello and screeching cat violin. Concurrently, also a member of 'Moist', 'Leather Moustache’, and ‘Smack of Jellyfish’- an onslaught of pure black noise in a thick maelstrom of colliding, crashing, ultra-down-tempo arrhythmia. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Concurrent projects – 'X-E-S' - with Louis Burdett & Anastasia Mano 'Pizdets Vsemu' - with Bex Champion & Tim Townsend ‘Spiny Fleshpot’ - with Peter Read ('Chimp Inc.', 'THUG', 'Moist', 'Leather Moustache’, ‘Sunday school’, ‘Animal Noise’, ‘The Dentists’) Guest Trumpet and Guitar on 'Bain Wolfkind' - "The Swamp Angel" Guest appearance on 'Orryelle's "RehctaWatcheR" Soundtrack to short film - "Before Midnight" Live soundtrack to "Dr. Mabuse - Der Spieler" at Mercury Cinema, Adelaide, Dec 2007 Live soundtrack for "an eye for an eye", a performance art project with 'Zsa Zsa A Door' for Castlemaine Fringe Chaos Festival, april 5th – 8th 2007; =========================================================== Influences – Nurse With Wound, Suicide, SPK, Steroid Maximus, The Hafler Trio, Throbbing Gristle, Lustmorde, Merzbow, Test Dept, Coil, Sun O))), William Burroughs, Diamanda Galas, Leather Nun, Psychic TV, Manorexia, NON, Whitehouse, Brian Eno, Einsturzende Neubauten, The Residents, Faust, Can, Stockhausen, Swans, Lydia Lunch, Sonic Youth, Grong Grong, Mu Mesons, The Necks, PIL, Joy Division, Birthday Party, Beastianity, Dangerous Curves, Rev Kriss Hades, DAF, Kraftwerk, Tom Waits, Controlled Bleeding, Caberet Voltaire, This Heat. -----------------------------------
