About Tuco
1. Getting in touch at an early age with Hip-Hop culture in the late 1980s led to Tucos' interest in DJing, which began with a bang in 1996 with his first professional gig supporting Moloko in his home town of Reading. After a few years of playing other people’s parties it was time to take things into his own hands and so in 1999 he began to organize the legendary ‘Livin' Proof’ nights which put Reading's Hip Hop scene back on the map and made Tuco a solid name as a DJ within the growing UK Hip Hop scene. This gained him residencies not only in his home town but also at London venues such as the Vauxhall Colliseum, DJing alongside national and international names like A Trak, Craze, Vadim and the Scratch Perverts. Since 2002 Tuco has taken his talents beyond the boarders of the UK and has spent time in his mothers native country Italy as well as Japan, Australia and New Zealand playing many clubs and radio stations before finally setling in the Czech Republic. It doesn't stop there though! The last few years have probably been the most exciting in a DJ career spanning over 10 years, after a string of popular internet mixes, remixes and tracks, Tuco has been invited to take his unique style of DJing across Europe and Russia whilst holding down a monthly residency in Austria mixing up House, Electro, Baltimore Club, Bassline, Baile Funk and more, with the Hip Hop influence firmly in place. Since the start of 2008 Tuco's club night "Dutty Weekend" hosted in Prague alongside DJ Quime as become one of the cites most popular escapes from the relentless tourist bars and clubs due their fresh approach towards Czech club culture bringing talent from all over the world, the last few examples being Rio's DJ Edgar, Kazey from Paris and Sinden. While not DJing, promoting, producing, contributing to blogs and wirting for magazines, Tuco also co hosts a weekly radio show on Czech National Radio 4 “Radio Wave”, playing the best in Hip Hop & Club music. In this time he has performed in many clubs, festivals and high profile concerts, supporting the likes of KRS One, Wu Tang Clan, 50 Cent, Method Man & Redman, GZA, Sway, Little Brother, Royce 5'9, Tha Liks, Wiley, Boy Better Know, DJ Krush, The Roots, and Busta Rhymes. Tuco is also a member of the Clek Clek Boom crew out of Paris, France 2. Danish folkrock band, debut in december 2013 with album Minor Key, and single/video " A Friend" 3. THE PROJECT TUCO WAS BORN TO MARCH '08 by Damiano NEKROVOMITED ( Noisecore Heroes) E ROBI SICKPUNX (formerly of GxAxPx, grindcore) THE JOY OF PURE NOICOREGRIND rings. After several lineup changes and a little IT CAN LIVE TO BE RECORDED SOME PIECES THAT will end up being IN SPLIT WITH GxAxPx and MESTRUOPHAGIA (out in october '09),...the rest is history .
