About Trouz Bras

"Trouz Bras" in the language of Brittany, means "Big Noise" They are the only ensemble specializing in Breton music in the USA. Led by Ray Price who plays bagpipes and teaches the dances of Brittany, the "Trouz Bras and Friends" version of the band consisted of Barry Hall on bombard, fiddle, vielle and bouzouki, Matthew Brown on bass and Mance Grady on percussion. Based in New England, the band played for concerts and "Festou Noz" (Breton Night Festivals). In 2009 the lineup is a "Sonerion" (in Breton) or a "Sonneurs de Couple (in French), which is a traditional biniou (bagpipe) and bombard (oboe) duo made up of Ray Price and Barry Hall.
