About Tríona Marshall

Tríona Marshall (from Portlaoise) is an Irish harpist. She has recorded with The Chieftains on several of their albums. One of five in a family of musicians, she started playing the harp when she was seven. Marshall initially trained as a classical harpist and held the post of principal harpist with the RTE Concert Orchestra for five years until 2003, when she was invited to play as guest harpist for The Chieftains. Since then she has performed the Irish harp as both guest harpist with The Chieftains on tours throughout the world and as a solo performer.
