"We are friends. We started playing as The Letdown when we were around 17 with Nick on drums our cousin Ryan on Bass and Gary on Vocals and Guitar. It didn't last much longer than any of our guitar players (Gus Goundis, Matt Pickard, Chris "Letters" Margareete and DJ Starr). In February of 2006, I listened to some of Nicks new songs and was like "fuck, they are good" so we started playing again. we were playing out acoustic together and realized playing out acoustic isn't nearly as fun as playing out electric with a full band, so we got some new members. Between the new members and the realization that there are like 7 bands named "letdown" we changed to to "tough guys take over", a phrase we saw gratified on a wall in koln Germany."
