About Tony Pacasso
Who is Tony Picasso? The North Carolina RedDirt ReddBone, Tony Picasso, is a special and unique mixture of Black, White, Cherokee Indian, and Latino ethnicities and cultures. Who has a variety of music flavors for all people to enjoy. From his soulful baritone vocals and smooth lyrical flow on his songs "Baby Girl" and "Whatever" featuring Jerry Butler. To club banging hooks/chorus lines with ridiculous loco swagg verses on his songs "Coca Cola Bottle" and "Who Is Tony Picasso". Ever since hearing music for the first time in his mother's womb, he was destined by GOD to reach people with the art of music. Tony Picasso was born three weeks after the legendary Hip Hop icon Tupac Amaru Shakur, R.I.P. brother. After battling the ups and downs of life with the cards he was dealt, Tony's path to his destiny was on and off like a water faucet. He knew he had to hustle harder than others to achieve success, accomplish his goals, and make his dreams come true. In 2003, the city of Atlanta, GA and its diverse musical and artistic atmosphere lit a serious fire in him that could not be put out. After attending and dropping out of the Art Institute of Atlanta, he worked an 8a-5p office job paying $35K per year and started a retail clothing business he named One Source Fashions. It also transformed four barbershops into barbershop boutiques in Norcross, GA (The Phix Barbershop, Pro Touch Barbers, and Royal Fades 1 and 2). So his network was already established for promoting, marketing, distributing, and selling his music. After doing side gigs as Dj Crispy Kreme and selling his mixtapes at local area record stores, barbershops, hair salons, nail shops, flea markets, Waffle Houses, and everywhere he touched down, he began studying the music business in detail. Tony improved his skills and was extremely determined to become an outstanding writer, lyricist, vocalist, poet, rapper, MC, recording artist, music producer, music editor, executive producer, and Hip Hop innovator. He built a Dj recording studio in his condominium and One Source Productions, Loco Swagg Entertainment, and Neveseteis MuZic Publishing ASCAP were born. Having to wear all of the "hats" of his new company because he found no true dedication, will, and drive from other sources to consistently help execute and accomplish his goals, he still could not be stopped. Many talk the talk but don't walk the walk. Thanks to all of his fans and customers, Tony Picasso nicknamed "Kreme" by the streets of ATL-Hotlanta, has sold over 100,000 records independently in both physical and digital media markets. This includes the street mixtapes widely known in Atlanta with various titles: 2 Hot 4 Ya, Scattered Smothered & Covered, Scattered Smothered & Crunkd, and The UnderGround Gangsta which were all produced, marketed, and distributed by One Source Productions. In 2009, he released his first professional studio album debut "Who Is Tony Picasso" on Amazon MP3. Featuring Gamble and Huff's Soul Music icon Teddy Pendergrass' sample and music on "I Need You Baby." The album includes many diverse Hip Hop flavors, sounds, vocals, and melodies which represent his life in the different regions of the U.S. where Tony grew up and lived; east coast, west coast, and the dirty south. He also displays his bilingual skills by rhyming in Spanish and Spanglish on certain songs including "Front N Back." The hottest selling record from the album to date has been "Baby Girl" with over 18,000 downloads. In 2010 Loco Swagg Entertainment launched the mixtape titled Mr. Loco Swagg introducing Tony Picasso which jumps off with the club/street banger "Get That" featuring dirty south's rap phenom Gucci Mane. The street buzz of this mixtape, radio interviews, and show performances gained him even more credibility and popularity in Atlanta, Tampa Bay, and North Carolina. Unlike any Hip Hop song or sound recording, "Coca Cola Bottle" crosses many genres with a club banging hook: "Coca Cola Bottle, Thick ass model, Camel-toe phat make a 'G', Wanna SWALlow (screwed)." And ridiculous loco swag verses with a party bridge chant "Hit the party, Rock the party, Sex the party, Crash the party." All laced with a bangin' Hip Hop Rock track produced by Platinum record producers Track Bangas Entertainment. The "Coca Cola Bottle (EP)" also includes the soulful and personal song about some of Tony's life experiences titled "Whatever" featuring Soul Music pioneer Jerry Butler, which was also produced by Smitty for Track Bangas. A "Coca Cola Bottle" music video and performance tour are currently in the works. Stay tuned to www.facebook.com/tonypicasso for the latest updates.
