About Three Weird Sisters
Three Weird Sisters has a unique sound, with a stunning blend of vocal harmonies and instruments. Their musical style ranges from Renaissance through to folk, blues, blue grass, and world music. Starting in Atlanta, Georgia, the original three Three Weird Sisters included Teresa Powell on bass, Brenda Sutton on guitar, bodhran, and various percussion instruments, and Gwen Knighton on harp. Gwen married and moved to the UK in 2005, which left an empty place in the group filled by pianist Mary Crowell. Through the marvels of technology, there are now FOUR Three Weird Sisters. The first CD from Three Weird Sisters was "Rite The First Time" released in 2001, and this was followed in 2004 by "Hair Of The Frog". Both albums contain a range of songs from the haunting and lyrically beautiful to the comic, from traditional to contemporary. The long-awaited next CD, "Third Thyme's a Charm", is nearing completion and will include tracks from all four Sisters, now residing in three states and on two continents. www.threeweirdsisters.com
