About The Wordsmiths

The Wordsmiths were a Scottish Indie band from Penicuik outside of the city of Edinburgh. They formed in 1990 and their music was inspired by the 'Baggy' sound of Madchester. As well as the C86 Indie movement. They came from small towns Penicuik and Loanhead in Midlothian, Scotland. Which enabled them to distance themselves from the mainstream. This in turn helped create a varied and random collection of Indie sounds for the discerning listener. They split in 1992 and the members when onto form new bands. The Wordsmiths were: Rev Mulvey- Guitar, Vox, Programming Del Romano - Guitar Riccardo Romano - Organ, Vox Steve K - Bass Pus Dunn - The Drums
