About The William Tell Routine
The William Tell Routine formed in 2000. Original members included bass player Cory Schnaufer, guitarist/vocalist Eric Eisenberg, and drummer Kevin Werkheiser. They soon added Roger That Houston frontman Jason Ei on lead vocals and guitar. After playing through the Northeastern United States, the band recorded a self-titled EP which was released in August 2001 by Double Decker Records (now Doppleganger). They toured the midwest shortly after. Lineup changes occurred which found Schnaufer and Werkheiser leaving. New bass player and drummer Casey Durkin and Tony Lipovsky sat in for the duration of the band, which broke up in December of that year. Members went on to the following projects: Birds of India, Elora Danon, Civil War Weekend, and, more recently, Kodiak (featuring Eric Eisenberg), and Decathlete (featuring both Eisenberg and Ei in their familiar roles).
