About The Vinyl Skyway

Songwriting duo Michael Hayes and Andy Santospago formed the Vinyl Skyway in 2003, with a debut that captured the attention NPR's All Songs Considered and KCRW-FM's Morning Becomes Eclectic. The group's break-out sophomore LP "From Telegraph Hill" was described by the Boston Globe as a "headphone record of exquisitely crafted pop." Their sound consists of gorgeous harmonies, hook-laden melodies and lush instrumentation inspired by Fleetwood Mac, Big Star and the Beatles. After a four year hiatus, the band has reunited to bring listeners material compiled over as much time in "Return of the Dead Surfer". The record was recently mixed in the band's home town (Cambridge, MA) by Paul Kolderie. It will become available September, 2011.
