About The Texas Governor
Dave Goolkasian was in The Elevator Drops, a Boston-based glam-rock outfit. After that, he moved to Dover, New Hampshire and married Lisa Crystal Carver (known for her old band Suckdog, her '90s zine "Rollerderby" and more recently her novels). Though they have since divorced, Goolkasian continues to reside in Dover. Since moving to New Hampshire, he has been playing and recording music (ranging from moody, pensive alt-country to fuzzed-out, uptempo rockers) as "The Texas Governor."
