the tvp unlimited orchestra has its origin at c.i.z., who brought us the likes of com intern, jko and Kerosene Unlimited. "tvp" obviously refers to the name "TV Personality", one of the guys from com intern, The (International) Commando Conspiracy, das kommando unternehmen, commando bon-a-parte, etc. Departing from the slightly glossy abstract pop of his early days, tvp's first offering, "classic open afterhours", still deals a lot with improvisation and repetition, but is now adding a new dimension of what tvp calls "a match between documentation und persuasion". This album is part of a mini-series dealing with "urban recordings".
