The Super Hopeful Band are a garage psych band from Atlanta, Ga. Shakedown is their first release and is a full length LP. The album was recorded and mixed in the band’s basement studio, dubbed The Altered Studios, and is a culmination of over 3 years of work. Band members have been in a variety of different bands over the years including Iron and Wine, Figure, Desmond, The Giving Heads, Divided Body, Apocalypse Now, Pink Trim, Registered Hog, Langtry, Beef, Pseudotabs, and Car Crash. Their influences are from 60’s garage, neopsych, shoegaze, punk and post punk bands including Velvet Underground, Rancho Relaxo, Jesus Lizard, Sonic Youth, The Stooges, Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Kinks, Spacemen 3, Gun Club, etc.
