About The Sputnix
The Sputnix are an electronic band based in San Jose, CA, consisting of Joe Herzog on keyboards and drum programming and Anatole Figueroa on electric bass, upright bass, and ukulele. Anatole and Joe started making music together in late 2006, under the moniker of "Naughty Natasha and the Sputnix." This early version of the band consisted of Evan Pearson on vocals and occasional keyboards, and later included Nick Jones on keys. After two successful performances and one terrible one, the band dissolved, but Anatole and Joe kept making music together. Since the duo was now taking a new direction with their music, they reformed themselves as quite simply, "The Sputnix." On February 19th, 2008, The Sputnix released their debut LP for free.
