About The Sound of Rust

Michael Mellors, bored, frustrated non-musician creating random pieces of sound on fiddly electronic software because he has nothing better to do. First album, creatively titled "Origins" is a 7 track, 39 minute instrumental/progressive metal album, which mixes in heavy guitars and fast drumming with a wide variety of keyboards: pianos and organs, classic mellotron and moog synth to create ambient contrasts. Influences: include: King Crimson, Tool, Meshuggah, Yes, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Brian Eno, Porcupine Tree, Nine Inch Nails, Celldweller, Gary Numan, Opeth, Kayo Dot, Slayer, Radiohead and others.
