About The Soft Set
Now defunct, The Soft Set was a guitar based pop band from Texas that started sometime in 2000 and broke up in the Spring of 2005. They had one self titled c.d. which they released themselves, and a second c.d. "Only Lovers Left Alive" released by the British independent label Becalmed. They recorded a 3rd album, which remains unreleased, as well as a handful of tracks with their final 5 piece line up. Some of these tracks were made available through their website, which is also no longer active. The band was equally influenced by 60's pop and early to mid 80's independent bands.
