About The Silent Jazz Ensemble

German Jazz ensemble. Founded 1984 as a quintet by Helmut Engel, Gebhard Ullmann and Volker Heller. For the 3rd album the quintet was joined in 1996 by Henning Schmiedt. After a pause of nearly 15 years reactivated by Helmut Engel in 2014 as a trio with a new lineup.
