Powdered Cows are an expressive entity from Dorset, on the south coast of the UK. Fronted by multi-instrumentalartist Martin Roberts, who was from 2005 up until April 2009 a solo artist of the same name, PowderedCows now exists also in a ten-legged five-headed Band formation. Powdered Cows display an eclectic influence and stylistic range, here are just a few: The delicate, fractious indie of Sparklehorse and Eels, jerking, fidgeting, the jangly guitars and electric organs of The Doors and Joy Division, the hedonistic lyrical approach of Syd Barret, Mark Linkous, anything-goes, the home-recording ethos of R. Stevie Moore and the vocals of Daniel Johnston.
