About The People’s Pleasure Grounds
The People’s Pleasure Grounds is a solo project of multi-instrumentalist Jimmy de Kok, formed in 2022. Jimmy is known for his work in bands such as Iguana Death Cult and The Black Marble Selection. De Kok has managed to turn his love for 60’s surf music into an impressively catchy EP. One that makes you long for warm beaches and long nights. Accompanied musically by three close friends and mixed by Rens Ottink (known as the drummer of renowned psychedelic band Temples), this EP has become the ultimate psychedelic surf experience of 2022. Meant to become the soundtrack of the long awaited second summer of love. During live-shows De Kok is accompanied by Malenzie Mac-Donald Jr, Gijs van der Heijden and Eno Aronds.
