About The Mask Of The Phantasm
The Mask Of The Phantasm is the name adopted by Austin, TX guitarist/songwriter Omar Ghaznavi who, years after his father was tragically murdered in 2011, began to channel into his music as a form of therapy. In 2020 he would enlist the help of vocalist Alexa Joan Rae (Plexxaglass), drummer Thomas Pridgen (The Mars Volta, Trash Talk), pianist & organist Nicholas Greer (Saint Nick), horns & woodwind player Adrián Terrazas-González (The Mars Volta, T.R.A.M.) to record the album New Axial Age. The album would end up being released on August 30th, 2021.
