Martial Arts are a 5 peice post-punk band formed in Manchester and signed to 5db. Their singles 'Too Much Fun' and 'Before The Fire' are the initial singles released in Spring 2026 before the release of their first EP. Former bands with a similar name: The Martial Arts was originally the name used by singer/guitarist Paul Kelly when his demos were released on two compilations by Swedish label Groover Recordings. Having found his music via the internet, they invited him to record an album in Stockholm with Shout Out Louds producer Ronald Bood. With not one live appearence to their name, the band recorded their debut EP 'Do It Riot Grrl' in their hometown of Glasgow and then in August 2005, made the trip to Stockholm and recorded their debut album 'Your Sinclair'. The band now includes Paul Kelly (vocals, guitar, keys), Andy Bonar (guitar, vocals), Sean McGrath (keys, vocals, percussion), Joseph Greatorex (bass) and Jason Sweeney (drums).
