About The Knifings
Over the past 4 years, The Knifings' unique and powerful mix of garage and indie rock, with nods to punk and rock-a-billy, has made them a fixture on the club scene in their hometown of Toronto. The Knifings are also no strangers to the festival scene having appeared at Indie Week Toronto in 2006 as well as NXNE 2007 and NXNE 2008. In 2007, The Knifings were a featured artist on a CD compilation for VICE magazine along side bands Peter Bjorn and John and The Black Lips. Word on the band is starting to spread with the national campus and community radio play that their 2008 release “Superb Limb Of Such Magnificence” is receiving. In addition, their song “Vicodin” appeared in a recent episode of the popular HBO show Entourage.
