About The Goat Project
THE GOAT PROJECT is an ambient/electronic duo founded in Leeds, UK by Tom Battye and Tom Orton in 2010. Starting out as an experimental offshoot of Sans Cire, their self-released debut, "(how to tune a synthesizer)" (2011) was a drone-inspired dark ambient work, predominantly recorded in one live session. Followed shortly by "Meditations" (2012), once again featuring soundscapes created with electric guitar and bass; aided by loops, live effects processing and the introduction of found sound. James Mason's Eye, the first of three singles in 2013, introduced the duos transition into production based songwriting. A new album, "Twelve Hours Out", was announced on The Goat Project's facebook page in March 2014, due later in the year. Links: Soundcloud / Bandcamp / Facebook
