About The Flights

The Flights are an alternative/indie/blues/punk rock band from Memphis Tennessee. They are vocalist/percussionist Cole Sneed Okeeffe, guitarist Theo Wayt, bassist Jack Inman, and drummer/percussionist Ethan Johnston. Cole sings and occasionally plays percussive instruments. In addition to The Flights, he has sung and acted in several musicals at GSL and CBHS. Some of his favorite bands are Arcade Fire, Alt-J, Passion Pit, The Avett Brothers, The Rolling Stones, The Black Keys, Cake, and the Pixies. Theo plays guitar, viola, violin, and keyboard. In addition to The Flights, he has been in several Memphis bands, including Number Station, who played a number of local shows in 2011 and 2012. He has also been a member of several Memphis orchestras, including the GYSO and All West. Some of his favorite bands and inspirations are Radiohead, The Strokes, Jack White, The Rolling Stones, The Flaming Lips, Cake, The Doors, The Clash, Joy Division, and the Who. Jack plays bass, guitar, and tuba. In addition to The Flights, he has been in The White Station Band and plays bass regularly at his church. He listens to many genres but cites alternative rock as his favorite, including Nirvana, Audioslave, Beck, Dinosaur Pileup, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, and the Strokes. Ethan plays drums and several other percussive instruments. He plays drums for The Flights. Some of his favorite bands are The Rolling Stones, Dr. Dog, Rush, The White Stripes, The Flaming Lips, The Beatles, The Black Keys, and many Memphis blues artists.
