About The Electric BubbleGum Trio
The Electric BubbleGum Trio Some would describe the town of Eaton, Ohio as a small, uneventful town full of methheads and people that just aren't too nice at all. This is very true. However, amidst all of the unfriendly street dwellers, there are cracked sidewalks and waving trees. As any other city in the world, it had it's underlying beauty only a few could see. This is what perhaps give Zach Paulus (more commonly known alias MetaPhex) and Ryan Lehr (also known as Grave) their inspiration for the cold, hollowed out, lo-fi beats the artists create. Their music is teeming with the kind of noises you'd expect from an LSD washed night in front of a TV, to a nightly stroll by the park downtown at three in the morning. When asked about the nature of most of the songs, the only replies were that of, "Well, it was how I was feeling at the moment." Is there some sort of hidden theme to the nature of the music? None can say for sure. But what they can say is that The Electric BubbleGum Trio are going to keep making music until they physically lack the ability to. This is definitely a band that isn't afraid to go somewhere other bands haven't, and that is something to be proud of.
