About The Dunlaps
Brothers Richard (RDunlap) and Frank-o Dunlap live in different states and don’t see each other often, but over the years have come together for a few recording sessions, mostly during the second half of the ‘80s but also as recently as 2005 [update: the Dunlaps have recorded together again in the summer of 2009 and October 2010, this time producing material for dadala]. The Dunlaps have explored improvisation and production in an experimental, jazz-influenced avant-garage proto-post-rock sort of style. Some of their recordings have since been incorporated into tracks by dadala: ghost grinder, sax with dogs, whence it comes, reprise, nukordian and scree, grasshopper's revelation, do you know the way to san diego, sea monster's solitude and hi ho.
