About The Drinkers
There are at least two bands under the name "The Drinkers". 1.) The Drinkers are a Slovenian booze rock band. Biography: On a warm summer night in July 1993 in Litija, along drinking pints of cold beer, The Drinkers were established. Five friends, all of them former musicians in different bands, came up with the idea to form a band, able to perform on a local rock festival called “Rusty Trumpets”. Said and done. By surprise they even won on that festival and afterwards decide to stay together and perform as a band even in the future. In 1994 a new bas guitarist Miro Mutvar joined the band. Today both of them, Robert Likar (Niet)and Miro Mutvar are seen as first members of this interesting Drink - Punk - Rock band. So they stay together ever since, but with some changes of band members. In 2005 vocalist and also on of the founders Sandi Kolenc-Koli left the band because of health problems. New singer Matjaz Zivkovic - Maki (D.D.V.) joined the band but afterward he was replaced with former singer Koli.
