The Artificial Heart is the latest in a line of musical endeavors from Rory Allen Phillips, member and songwriter of bands such as The Impossibles, The Stereo and Slowreader (all Fueled By Ramen Alumni) as well as a producer for bands such as Recover, Young Love, The Higher, Name Taken and Soft. Rory is joined by former Impossible Craig Tweedy on bass (arguably the best bass player on god's green earth) with Scott Clapsaddle on guitar (your next guitar hero) with ? holding down the backbeat. Initially entitled 'Rory and The Artificial Heart' the band began playing shows in 2006 and continue to bring the rock even when it's probably not appropriate.
