The American String Quartet was formed over 30 years ago, having celebrated it's 30th anniversary in the 2005-6 concert season. They are criticly acclaimed as one of the finest string quartets in the world. Renditions of Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms and Bartok have attracted particular admiration. Their touring schedule has taken them to almost every single notable concert hall in the world and their list of awards and achievements are impressive to say the least. Formed originally by students of the Julliard School, the members devote their time between concert schedules, solo performances and master classes.
