About The Ruby Troupe

Available to stream/purchase at http://rubytroupe.bandcamp.com The Ruby Troupe are a folk-cowboy-blues outfit living in Dallas, TX. Their lead singer, Edgar "Buck" Edwin, along with pianist Rosco Fogg, started working on songs in the Summer of 2011 when the two crossed paths in Fogg's hometown of Moosonee, Canada. They added their drummer, Ernest Mobley, after witnessing Ernest perform beat poetry in a small club in Acapulco, Mexico. The other three members - Abraham Feathers (bass), John Rousseau (horns, lead guitar), and Philander P. Soloman (organ) - joined the Troupe when their previous band, The Silver Nomads, broke up. In their first official release, The Rouby Troupe are pleased to present the Spogy EP, a four-song effort riddled with dark whimsies and post-modern blues.
