Asbury Park, New Jersey's the Ratchets draw a lot of comparisons to the Clash, with their old gunslinger political lyrics and roots punk sound and let me be the first to say that is no easy task. Lead singer/Guitar Jed Engine, delivers some of the most heart felt & thought out lyrics in a long time. Lead guitarist Zak Kaplan (ex-Worthless United), bassist Dan Desimoni(ex-Plan a project, and drummer Erik Schmidt(ex-River city rebels), complete this intense reggae infused punk rock and roll band. Their first full length, "Glory Bound" just came out on Pirate's Press Records. Rated as one of the best albums of the year. Glory Bound will leave you wanting more.
