Full time performer Lai Zi Jie, AKA The Pudgy Busker, is leveraging his love for music to inspire and uplift. With his natural charisma and ready smile, he and his acoustic guitar have quickly become iconic of Singapore’s bustling street performance scene. He was also honored to work with the founder of LKY Music on the national song, “Home.” Highly sought after for his unique sound and one-of-a-kind energy, he has performed at a myriad of bars and cafes, including Wala Wala, Acid Bar, Starker, Horizon Bistronomy, Ikki, and Spruce. Most recently, he appeared in Scoot’s inflight magazine where he was featured as the face of Singapore’s busking scene. Additionally, he’s played a key role in a variety of events including Starker Beer Festival, Surf and Sweat, Orchard Gateway’s “Party on the Beach,” NTU Fest and many more. Always open to possibility, he extends his services to private events such as weddings, business events, and condominium parties. The Pudgy Busker recently took the next step in his career, and released an original single called "Neverland." Now available on streaming platforms, the song references the Peter Pan story, and a neverland where we never grow up. It speaks to our need to rediscover ourselves and reconnect to our passions with a childlike spirit of inquiry.
