The Hectic took shape in Houston, TX. A collection of accomplished musicians with diverse styles and influences whose musical alchemy has been characterized as Nine Inch Nails meets Pantera. Let’s call it “Texas Industrial Alt-Metal”. With a cast of seven the unforgettable live show is a colossal event. Full of action and intrigue, it unfolds like a psychological thriller starring the front man’s brooding persona and twisted vocals, the bottomless crunchy rhythm guitar, leads that move from hypnotic to grandiose, a creeping undercurrent of samples and electronica, the shredding cellist, all piled on the rhythm section’s brazenly untamed bass lines and storming drummer who always brings down the house. The band writes what they feel at the moment, there are no imposed boundaries on the music. The Hectic unapologetically sprawls across musical genres like the city they’re from sprawls across Southeast Texas.
