The Grass Cats

About The Grass Cats

The Grass Cats are a band created in 1997 and based out of the Raliegh, NC area. Members have varied over the past years. In 2002 they had a number one single, "Bluegrass Man", and in 2004 their album "Desperate Times" made it to the bluegrass top 10 charts. The current line up is Russel Johnson on mandolin, Tim Woodall on banjo, Chris "Fiddleboy" Hill obviously on the fiddle, Steven Martin on the guitar, and their newest addition Lloyd Herring. Their line-up in the not so distant past was much different however. Robin Burke, a female bass player and vocalist, and Greg Miller, a guitar player and lead singer, were staples in the Grass Cats rise to what they are now.
