About The Good Old Fashioned Sinners
The Good Old Fashioned Sinners started as a collaborative project to express oneself through music, sound, song, and noise. Formed by Brandon Lipford, Matt Wenzel, and Dave Hirsch circa summer 0f 2005 in the city of Chicago, the group has seen a revolving door of members, contributors, collaborators, and muses. Starting off, the group was essentially improv-based combining elements of psychedelia, noise, free jazz, and folk. These elements stayed with the group as they evolved in to writing more song based material. In 2007, the founding members and a couple newer additions to the group moved to Fort Collins, Colorado to record their lives away near the mountains. In the years since, the group has cranked out a slew of albums and discovered new musical endeavors on an individual and collective basis. The band is still active in the cosmic and relative sense, but the focus of the group has shifted to other projects in the recent past.
