About The Fadin' Colours

British beat group The Fadin' Colours were a studio front for Ember Records producer Jim Economides and Croydon-based R&B combo The Kingpins, aided by solo singer Geoff Coppens. economies renamed them The Fadin' Colours and recorded a soulful version of '(just Like) Romeo and Juliet' for a lone Ember 45, as well as a bunch of chart covers for a proposed budget LP. They returned to the studio in January 1967 for a proposed second single on Ember, but 'You're No Use' and 'Be With Me' were shelved. The Kingpins eventually evolved into psychedelic band Orange Seaweed.
