About The Earaches

Formerly know as Reckless Bastards, the Earaches are a band from Seattle, WA formed in 2002. They draw on the entire history of rock and roll for their influences, but what comes out is usually referred to as "garage rock" or "punk rock," or "garage punk," and sometimes "punk garage." While they're comfortable with any of those tags, they just call it HIGH OCTANE ROCK N' ROLL, meaning that they play music that they like, for themselves, with all the soul they can muster. Yeah, they have been around the track a few times, but as long as there's gas in the tank they'll keep the hammer down, spurred on by an insatiable love of music. The Earaches current lineup consists of August Henrich (vocals & guitar), Zac Schneider (guitar & vocals), Oni Timm (bass & vocals), and Steve Jones (drums). Joe Kilbourne and Alan Wright are former members. Alan Wright was the original drummer before committing suicide in 2004 at August's home. Alan and August began playing together in The Castros. August was diaganosed with Hodgkin's disease in December of 1998. In June of '99, he was declared to be in remission. They have three full length releases on Steel Cage Records. Their most recent release is Time on Fire. Their official website is www.theearaches.com.
