About The Black Dynamites

One of the legends of the indo rock style, the Black Dynamites started somewhere in the mid 50's and were best known for their raw musical sound and on stage energy combined with crazy showtimes. The band recorded their legendary first instrumental single Ready To Rock (b/w Gone Gone Away) in 1959 for the Delahaye record company. They became very populair and headlined the famous Dutch Muziek Expres festivals. They also released a second single in 1960, Brush Those Tears/Lonely Cissy (which was also released on Top Rank records). The Black Dynamites left Holland in april 1960 to play the many German rock & roll clubs in cities like Frankfurt, Hamburg (the city were the Beatles also once started playing), Hanau, Berlin, Mannheim, etc. and from there started touring all over Europe, visiting such countries as France, Scandinavia (hello Ole!), Belgium (where they also recorded some records in Brussels for the Show Records label), Switserland, Marocco, Spain, etc. In Spain they recorded the classic track Olé, Cordobes! for their first Polydor e.p. called Los Indonesios. The Black Dynamites starred in movies/recorded soundtracks with superstars such as Concha Velasco, Rocio Durcal and Claudine Coppin. They also won the 1st prize at the Festival De Leon. The Festival De Leon was broadcasted nationally on TVE and thanks to that the Black Dynamites would gain huge populairity. Meanwhile they started touring intensively all over the country performing in such cities as Malaga, Torremolinos, Barcelona, Valencia, Alicante and of course Madrid. Also more records were released including classic tracks such as Gitana, Twistin' Con Los Indonesios, Can You Hear Me, I Can Tell, Wello Wap, El Silencio Es Oro, Te Vere En Septiembre and Safe It For Me. In 1970 they left for Africa visiting such countries as Swaziland and Lesotho were the band performed for King Mosjoesjoe and his wife. Some records were released during their stay in Africa of which the self titled album Los Indonesios is probably best known. In 1974 they moved to Gran Canaria were the band would perform untill finally getting back to Holland in 1977. Back to the country where it all once started for the Black Dynamites - Los Indonesios. They continue playing there up 'till this very day.
