Kampala City's turn of the century band in Uganda, has been the most significant band that undisputedly represented the Country for at least 15 years from 1990 . The formation of the Afrigo Band has changed various times. The band discovered major success also and especially during the 11+ years in which singer Rachel Magoola performed (1990-2002). Among their various hits, the Afrigo Band is easily identifiable with 'Kasongo', a song as joyful as the meaning of the word itself in Bugandese and Swahili: "joy and music for a good life".
