Tamlyn Wessels overcame a disease (Guillain-Barré syndrome) that left her paralysed and is now pursuing her musical dreams. While she loved music from a young age, she began pursuing it as a career during her matric year at Hoërskool Waterkloof in 2022. She is currently signed to the record label Select Musiek. Popular songs include: "Klein Bietjie": Her breakthrough hit that borrows elements from Anton Goosen's music."Ek’s Verlore": Her debut release that kicked off her journey as a singer."Lui Voete": A "sokkie" song she wrote as a positive take on the physical challenges following her illness. "Mooier as mens": A deeper, more poetic track showcasing her creative development. In May 2026, she released her new EP titled Dis nie so diep nie (It’s Not That Deep). The release is accompanied by a documentary depicting her path from paralysis to recovery and success in the music industry.
