About TRibAL fObiA
Tribal Fobia is a hardore/post-hardcore group based in the city of Ulyanovsk, Russia. The band's line-up at the moment: Hunter - Vocals Murzik - Bass, back-vocals Treplo - Drums Juice - Guitar Sleep - Guitar, Vocals Offical Website: http://www.tribalfobia.ru MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/tribalfobia Tribal Fobia began its activity in 2006, and held its first live performance during the fall of that year. At that time the lineup consisted of: Alexei "SLeEp" on guitar, Andrei "Treplo" on drums, Vanya "Vanish" on bass, and Eugene "Negative_Creep" on vocals. These members also put together a first home-made demo, which included songs such as "До И После" (Before Аnd After), "Новый Штамп" (New Stamp), "Забудь Обо Всём" (Forget Everything), "Пластмассовая Пустота" (Plastic Emptiness). Also, someone out there might be hanging onto Tribal Fobia's other early works, from a time when the band still had no main vocalist (and whose role was being filled by Alexei "SLeEp"). These rare recordings include tracks such as "Я1" (I Am Alone), as well as "Ромео И Джульетта" (Romeo And Juliet). As a 4-man collective, TF went through much evolution and its members experienced a lot together. Throughout this time, they have gained a relatively high-level of recognition among other bands in the city. A year after making their first appearance in the Ulyanovsk music scene, the band decides to take up a second guitarist - Andrei "Hunter", who quickly merges into the collective feel of the band's sound. This addition to the lineup marks a fundamental change to Tribal Fobia's music, which now becomes noticeably 'heavier', yet retains its inherent melodic qualities which were established in earlier times. However, the majority of the 4-man band compositions were now quickly consigned to history and were never to be performed again. With the addition of a second guitarist, TF began having concerts beyond the boundaries of Ulyanovsk. After a continual string of successful live performances, the group decided to record these new songs, which now withstood the test of time. The members thus begin devoting long evenings to the rigorous process of studio recording. Before the vocals are to be recorded however, the band decides to part ways with its vocalist (Zhenya "Negative_Creep"), who is deemed as not adequately performing the role of a frontman. During winter 2007, Zhenya leaves TF. Initially, the group decides not to search for his replacement, as the other members gradually come to fill his role and together provide vocals in songs. Yet in the end, everyone is convinced of the necessity in having a frontman. TF thus begins searching for a person who, in a very short timespan, could prepare to record vocals for the new tracks and who could also merge well with the collective feel of the group. This became a long-time friend to the band, Artem "Skif", who turned up practically on a whim and was nearby at just the right time. So, in the first months of 2008 the band begins rehersing the material with a new vocalist. With Skif's arrival the band's sound again makes a fundamental change. In this line-up, TF finishes recording its debut EP "Нет Времени" (No Time), which contains tracks such as "Для Тебя" (For You), "Моя Боль" (My Agony), "Ангел" (Angel) and the re-workings of tracks mentioned earlier, "До И После" (Before And After) as well as "Пластмассовая Пустота" (Plastic Emptiness). Following this, the band goes on a brief live tour in support of its new record. After the conclusion of its spring concerts, a first home-made promotional video for the band is also released. In October 2008, two members leave the group, specifically the bassist Ivan "Vanish" and vocalist Artem "Skif". Their reasons are not to be commented on. However, the group did not stop at this, and did not cancel its upcoming concerts or plans. In an extremely short period of time, new participants for the band are recruited and the collective once again experiences changes to the lineup. The new members are: Alexander "Murzik" on bass & vocals, Danil "Juice" on guitar. Andrei "Hunter" had now also been moved to the position of a vocalist. In this set-up, the group quickly establishes a concert program which includes both old and new songs, and sets out to perform for its Winter mini-tour together with another band, called "Maria:Abort Chosen". By the end of this winter, Tribal Fobia plans to once again begin recording new material.
