Attitude, my debut album is a mixture of Pop and hip hop-influenced R&B tracks that breathes life back into the genre with solid lyrical content and fresh new sounds crafted by the talented producer “Water”. When contemplating a name for the album, the word “Attitude” just seemed to fit. Attitude is a way of thinking or responding. If you think you can, you’re right! If you think you can’t, you’re also right. Since I have a choice, why not choose to think that I can. That’s Attitude, that’s me….Tori! And, hopefully you as well! Born in Atlanta, in most ways, I’m a typical teenager. I love singing, dancing, my acting classes, going to the mall, talking on the phone, and spending time with a few good friends. Attitude’s journey began when I was just 15 years old. In fact, I recorded the song “King” just shy of my 16th birthday. King was a sign of good things to come as I developed as an artist, and as I continued to mature and engage life experiences. My brother, “Talent” is on many of my records, and you can here a lot of him on the title track “Attitude.” My cousin “Water” produced the album and wrote most of the songs on the album as well. Along this developmental road, I recorded the Poprock&B track “Any Minute Now,” the saucy “I’m Sexy”, the confident female empowering “Deleted”, and a host of other soon to be well known songs. I had so much fun recording the poprockandb “Any Minute Now.” Any Minute Now was a stretch for me as the song is a mixture of so many styles. I absolutely love the sexy, playful Pop club joint “I’m Sexy”; and, I got a real kick out of the relationship lyrics of the record “Deleted”. These are just a few of my favorites; hopefully, you’ll enjoy the album, because there are so many other songs that were too many to name, that I absolutely love! If you’re looking for an album with only one or two good songs…keep looking…for this album is not for you! However, if you’re the type of person who likes to insert a CD and listen to it from beginning to end….then you’re at the right place for there are truly no bad songs on this album. My musical influences are wide and diverse, including Jo Jo, Avril, Beyonce, Rihanna and a whole host of other talented artists. Despite these influences, I’ve got my own style, my own way of doing a record. I hope you enjoy the album! Tori Lewis
