About Sweet d'Buster

Formed in 1975 by saxophonist Bertus Borgers (formerly Mr. Albert Show) with Herman Deinum and Hans Lafaille as their rythm section (both formerly Cuby and the Blizzards), Paul Smeenk on guitar and Bonkie Bogaerst (percussion), Sweet d'Buster was instantly a renowned ''supergroup'' in the Netherlands. After the first great LP, Paul Smeenk left and Robert Jan Stips on keyboards (formerly Supersister) joined the group. Sweet d'Buster released three studio LP's and one live album, with the third (live) LP, ''Gigs'', being by far the most succesful. The band was disbanded in 1980 when record sales of their fourth album were dramatic. In 1992, they released a nice compilation CD, ''Magic Moments''. Albums: 1976 - Sweet d'Buster (live) 1979 - Shot into the blue
