About Super A.D.
Taken from Peermusic.com: "Since forming in 1996 members of Irish based electronic duo have had several small releases and a successful remix career. Torsten and Niels Kinsella have spent the last three years working on their debut album, which they have recorded in their own studio, the “electric room”. The 12-track album “revive” is a mix of electronic, dance, rock instrumentation with a number guest vocalists from around UK and Ireland. “The album is a fusion of electronic, rock and dance with a serious, dark tone” Niels. “Rasher” Ireland’s coolest artist supplies the artwork for the album. “The artwork for the album gave it an added edge” Torsten. The songs on the album are quite diverse with haunting instrumentals like “psalm 151” high energy tracks like “citizen x” and vocal driven tracks like “fools paradise” featuring Brendan Murphy and “bully boy” featuring UK vocalist “dodge”. Twin brothers Torsten and Niels growing up in Ireland got their interest in music from their father who himself was a musician in the psychedelic rock group “the orange musician” during the late 60`s. Exposed to music at a young age the brothers learned how to play several instruments. Growing up in the late 80`s and early 90`s they listened and were influenced by bands such as “metallica”, “nine inch nails”. In 1994 they left school and decided to start playing in rock groups, but it wasn’t till 1996 they created the idea of “super a.d.”, cutting edge electronic rock music. In 1996 they started to build their own studio and by 1997 were recording their first demos “last days EP” and “j-rod”. With various small releases in the late 90`s, "you must be the killer" m21 records and "smoke on the water" cover version for underground sounds UK, they started the long process of completing their sound and debut album “revive” in 1999." Soon after the release of "REVIVE" the brothers Kinsella took a decidedly different direction with their sound. Going with their own brand of darkly atmospheric, instrumental post-rock. http://www.last.fm/group/God+Is+An+Astronaut
